  • The sixth seeded Indian shuttler had defeated world number two and top seed Chinese Shixian Wang by 21-19 16-21 21-15 on her way to the final. 
  • Its her second title of the season after winning the India Open Grand Prix Gold earlier this year.
• Famous Indian sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik clinches the People's Choice prize at the 2014 World Cup of Sand Sculpting.   
  • He won the prize in solo category for his sand sculpture 'Save Tree, Save the Future'.
