Hockey India on 21 August 2014 added Hockey Madhya Pradesh as its 23rd associate member. With this, Hockey Madhya Pradesh (HMP) came under the wings of Hockey India.
Hockey Madhya Pradesh (HMP) before addition to Hockey India was formerly known as the Madhya Pradesh Hockey Association (MPHA).

Madhya Pradesh Hockey Association (MPHA)
Since 1956, the Madhya Pradesh Hockey Association (MPHA) has given several international players and umpires. Since inception it has been contributing to the game of Hockey and has conducted international Test matches, national championships and state level tournaments.
Hockey India
Hockey India (HI) is the apex body of the country which has the sole mandate to govern and conduct all activities for both men and women hockey in India. It was recognised as National Sports Federation by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India on 28 February 2014 as the sole body responsible towards promoting the Hockey in India.
Formed on 20 May 2009, it is also affiliated to the International Hockey Federation (FIH), the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and Asian Hockey Federation (AHF).
