President Pranab Mukherjee on 26 August 2014 appointed Governors for four states. These States are Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Goa. The four Governors were appointed in accordance with the Article 155 of the Constitution.
The Governors names are:
• Kalyan Singh- Rajasthan Governor
• Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala- Karnataka Governor
• Ch. Vidyasagar Rao- Maharashtra Governor
• Mridula Sinha- Goa Governor
About Kalyan Singh
Kalyan Singh had served two terms as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. He first became the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh in June 1991. His role in demolition of Babri Masjid on 6 December 1992 was controversial, due to which he had to resign from his post in 1992.
However, he contested elections again in 1997 and was appointed as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh again between September 1997 and November 1999.
The Governors names are:

• Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala- Karnataka Governor
• Ch. Vidyasagar Rao- Maharashtra Governor
• Mridula Sinha- Goa Governor
About Kalyan Singh

He was also the Mayor of Rajkot before contesting for the state elections.
About Ch. Vidyasagar Rao
Vidyasagar Rao was Union Minister of State for Internal affairs in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee-led BJP Govt government in 1999. He was elected to the 12th and 13th Lok Sabhas from the Karimnagar constituency (now in Telangana) as a BJP candidate.
He was also the BJP state president in 1998.
About Mridula Sinha
Mridula Sinha is a , a renowned writer in Hindi Literature and politician. She is a Former BJP Mahila Morcha president and had been the Chairperson of the Central Board of Social Welfare.
She wrote various novels and a biography on Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia titled Ek Thi Rani Aisi Bhi.
