Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 21 August 2014 dedicated 765 KV Ranchi-Dharmjaygarh-Sipat Transmission Line (Powergrid) to the nation. The transmission link was inaugurated online by the Prime Minister at Prabhat Tara, Dhurwa in Ranchi.
The transmission line was commissioned by the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) at Bero and connects the Eastern and Western parts of India. It is the first of its kind in Jharkhand and connects Chhatisgarh, West Bengal and Jharkhand.

Apart from this, Modi also dedicated the Jasidih Oil Terminal to the nation. He also launched the National Digital Literacy Mission. He also announced the commencement of work of 3x660 MW North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project of the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) in Tandwa (Chatra). The foundation stone of the project was laid in 2003 by the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
In the slew of inaugurations, he also laid down the foundation stone of New Incubation facility at Ranchi Centre of Software Technology Parks of India and Ranchi Centre of National Institution of Electronic and Information Technology.
