Ten pilgrims dead and more injured in stampede early on 25 August 2014 at Kamtanath Pahad Temple in Madhya Pradesh.
Large number of devotees had gathered at the religious place on the occasion of Amavasya and the incident during the circumambulation of the Kamtanath Pahad (mountain).
Madhya Pradesh Government has announced an compensation of 2 lakh rupees each to the kin of those killed in the stampede and 50000 rupees to seriously injured.
