CSIR UGC NET June 2015 Notification

Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) issued Examination Advertisement for National Eligibility Test (NET) June 2015. Joint CSIR-UGC Test For Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Lectureship exam tentatively on 21st June 2015.

Educational Qualifications:
JRF (NET) ->
(1) BS-4 years program/BE/BTech/BPharma/MBBS/Integrated BS-MS/MSc or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks for general and OBC-Non Creamy layer candidates (50% for SC/ST candidates, physically and Visually Handicapped candidates).
(2) Candidates enrolled for M.Sc or having completed 10+2+3 years of the above qualifying examination are also eligible to apply in required subject under the Result Awaited (RA) category on the condition that they complete the qualifying degree with requisite percentage of marks within the validity period of two years to avail the fellowship from the effective date of award.
(3) Such candidates will have to submit the attestation format (Given at the reverse of the application form) duly certified by the Head of the Department/Institute from where the candidate is appearing or has appeared.
(4) BSc (Hons) or equivalent degree holders or students enrolled in Integrated MS-PhD program with at least 55% marks for general and OBC (Non Creamy layer) candidates; 50% marks for SC/ST candidates, physically and visually handicapped candidates are also eligible to apply. Candidates with bachelor’s degree, whether Science, engineering or any other discipline, will be eligible for CSIR fellowship only after getting registered/enrolled for PhD/Integrated PhD program within the validity period of two years.
Lectureship of NET -> PhD degree holders who have passed Master’s degree prior to 19 September 1991, with at least 50% marks are eligible to apply for Lectureship only.
Selection Process: The single paper MCQ based test will be held tentatively on Sunday, the 21st June, 2015.
Examination Fee: Rs.1000/- for General, Rs.500/- for OBC-Non Creamy Layer (NCL), Rs.250/- for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped (PH) or Visually Handicapped (VH) Candidates.
